| How to contact the island directly | |

| Between March and Oktober each year, a nature warden lives in a hut on the island in order to guard the reserve and to monitor bird numbers and plant succession. If you have any queries regarding the island in particular, or the Wadden Sea, its birdlife, and the National Park in general, you are welcome to contact the nature warden by sending an e-mail to the island |

| Alternatively you can send
a letter with normal mail to the island. The mailman comes once a week,

| In winter time no warden is
on the island, as the rough weather along the North Sea coasts would
make it very difficult to bring supplies to the island on a regular
